Environmental Justice is when everyone regardless of factors like race and income have access to clean and healthy communities. As well as meaningful involvement in the environmental regulations of their community. Environmental Equity ensures this access is fair and impartial and that no group is disproportionately facing environmental hazards. In your community this looks like clean air and water, access to green spaces and healthy affordable produce, and regulations in place to protect community members.
